Job Summary

Join the Dortmund System House as a Software Developer to shape the digitalization of Dortmund's city administration. In this role, you will conceptualize, implement, and optimize new modules for the service portal, analyze business processes, and develop and maintain web applications. A key responsibility involves modernizing existing Access databases by migrating them to contemporary web technologies and Low/No-Code platforms, and developing future-oriented strategies for their use. You will work independently within a diverse range of tasks, collaborating with a team of administrative and IT specialists, contributing to the implementation of the Online Access Act (OZG) and the automation of processes through Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or FH-Diplom in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Applied Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another IT-focused degree. Alternatively, a completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician) or a completed commercial vocational training with IT relevance (e.g., IT Systems Management Assistant, IT Management Assistant) combined with comprehensive skills and experience in the mentioned areas. Comparable qualifications or knowledge through demonstrated multi-year professional experience are also accepted.

Experience

  • Professional experience in object-oriented software development
