Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Civil Engineer to lead and manage light rail projects within the City of Dortmund's Civil Engineering Department. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire planning process from preliminary to execution phases (HOAI phases 1-5), ensuring sustainable, technically sound, and economically balanced designs. This involves managing external engineering firms, reviewing and approving planning documents, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project leadership, particularly in rail transport infrastructure, and possess strong cooperation, teamwork, and independent work skills.
