Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and future-proofing of the IT landscape at the German Cancer Research Center. The specialist will support the day-to-day operations of both owned and leased data center spaces, including hardware installation, software management, and monitoring of operating parameters. A key part of the role is supporting central file servers and storage systems, optimizing existing storage and backup solutions, and managing capacity and installation planning. The position also requires coordinating with internal departments and external providers for maintenance, expansion, and procurement within the data center environment.
