Job Summary

The Medical University Lausitz - Carl Thiem is seeking a Biobank Infrastructure Coordinator to play a pivotal role in establishing and integrating a new biobank. This position involves conducting needs and requirements analyses, market research, and developing concepts for the interim phase until the biobank is operational. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing collaboration with various central officers (data protection, hazardous goods, fire protection), overseeing IT implementation and interface coordination, and planning and delivering staff training. Additionally, the role supports the planning of structural and technical infrastructure, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitates the biobank's integration into the university's clinical and scientific framework. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Medical Technology, Public Health, or a comparable field. Project management qualification (e.g., GPM/IPMA, PRINCE2) is desirable. Quality management qualifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 20387, GxP, GLP/GCP) are advantageous.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biobanks, clinical research, or laboratory organization
  • Experience in planning and implementing construction or infrastructure projects in a scientific-medical environment (advantageous)
