Job Summary

This role involves conducting and analyzing experiments at the Chair of Inorganic and General Chemistry at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. The successful candidate will primarily operate and maintain a Simultaneous Thermogravimetry - Differential Scanning Calorimetry (STA) system coupled with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, including sample preparation, data processing, and result logging. You will also contribute to research and development projects, support scientific staff, and monitor solvent systems using Karl Fischer titration. The position requires a completed CTA education, advanced PC skills, and experience with hazardous materials. Completed training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Experience in Thermogravimetry Analysis (TGA)
  • Experience in Dynamic Differential Calorimetry (DSC)
  • Experience in Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS)
  • Experience and knowledge in handling hazardous materials
  • Experience and knowledge in handling liquid nitrogen as a coolant
  • First aid training for company first responders (advantageous)
