Research Associate in In Vivo Electrophysiology | 254/2025 Research Associate (m/f/d) in the field of in vivo electrophysiology
Otto-von-Guericke- Universität Magdeburg
Job Summary
The Institute of Biology at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join the "Synapto-Oscillopathies" research group. This role focuses on investigating the impact of amygdala hyperactivity on oscillatory synchrony across brain regions, specifically by performing multi-site local field potential (LFP) recordings in animal models of anxiety and fear. The successful candidate will conduct in vivo electrophysiological analyses to study oscillatory processes underlying engram formation and stability, integrating these experiments with chemogenetic intervention strategies. This DFG-funded project offers an excellent opportunity to work in an international, interdisciplinary research environment, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge neuroscience techniques and contributing to a leading center for Neurobiology and Brain Science.
