Job Summary

This role involves providing critical support to researchers at TU Braunschweig and other Lower Saxony universities, specifically focusing on High-Performance Computing (HPC). Day-to-day tasks include assisting with code parallelization, adapting research codes for parallel architectures, and administering Tier-3 HPC systems. The specialist will also be involved in the planning, procurement, and commissioning of new HPC system components. Key qualifications include a scientific university degree, preferably in a MINT field with HPC application, and strong experience in scientific software development. This position offers the unique opportunity to actively shape the developing Digital Science Support Team, contribute to innovative research projects, and advance expertise in the cutting-edge fields of HPC and AI within a vibrant university environment.

Experience

  • Successful completion of a scientific university degree, preferably in a MINT field with application relevance in HPC
  • Professional experience in software development in a scientific environment

  • Ideally, a completed doctorate
