Job Summary

This doctoral researcher position at Heidelberg University Hospital focuses on molecular virology and RNA biology within an ERC-funded project. The role involves systematically dissecting RNA-protein complexes at the virus-host interface, using a systems biology approach to understand how RNA viruses interact with host cells. Day-to-day tasks include characterizing transcriptome, proteome, and interactome dynamics in advanced virus infection models, working with diverse RNA viruses (IAV, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, DENV, ZIKV) in BSL-2 and BSL-3 environments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will apply cutting-edge systems virology techniques and benefit from an innovative research environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for professional growth in an international team.
