Job Summary
The University of Bremen is seeking a Research Associate for a fixed-term position until April 30, 2027, within the Institute for Telecommunications and High-Frequency Technology (ITH). This role is part of the EU-funded "DistriMuSe" research project, focusing on distributed multi-sensor systems for human safety and health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing antenna systems for radar sensors in the 110-170 GHz frequency range, including simulation-supported millimeter-wave components like waveguides and antennas. Key activities involve collaborating with project partners, overseeing component manufacturing, conducting measurement campaigns, and presenting research findings at conferences and in journals. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in high-frequency technology within a supportive academic environment.
Required Skills
Education
Above-average university degree (Master or University Diploma) in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or comparable studies, preferably with a specialization in High-Frequency Technology.
Experience
- Initial practical experience in high-frequency technology (antenna technology, microwave technology)
- Experience with Matlab, Python, and EM simulation software
