Job Summary
This role involves developing and modeling HVDC systems and their controls, specifically focusing on grid-forming control concepts. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating models in MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC, integrating voltage-forming control concepts, and performing network calculations for power supply grids. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, strong expertise in power electronics, and proficiency with simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD/EMTDC, and Powerfactory/Digsilent. Required Skills
Education
Master of Engineering in Electrical and Control Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Energy Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable fields
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical and control engineering, energy technology, mechatronics, or comparable specialized fields
- Experience in modeling converters (HVDC, WTG) and their control systems
- Knowledge in network calculation for power supply grids, including stability analyses and reactive power demand
Languages
Additional
- Intercultural experience and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners are desirable
