Job Summary

Join a strong team at Rohde & Schwarz as a Hardware Developer for airborne radios, contributing to innovative projects for future technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of analog and RF modules for airborne radio equipment, from conception and implementation to product qualification and manufacturing transfer. You will conduct activities in accordance with RTCA DO-254 guidelines for airborne electronic hardware. Key responsibilities include designing, simulating, and optimizing circuits such as power amplifiers, RF frontends, and synthesizer modules, as well as defining test specifications and qualifying components for series production. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering with a focus on high-frequency/communication technology, professional experience in hardware development and RF technology, and proficiency with hardware design tools and programming, ideally in Python. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on High-Frequency/Communication Technology or comparable field of study

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware development and high-frequency technology
  • Experience with hardware design tools (SPICE, Microwave Office, CST, HFSS)
  • Experience in programming, ideally in Python
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting
