Job Summary

This role involves coordinating and administering the weather satellite data processing system, along with developing and implementing specialized applications for it. The engineer will also contribute to the conceptualization and creation of weather satellite products. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Meteorology, Remote Sensing, Geography (with a thematic focus on Geoinformatics or Remote Sensing), Physics, or a comparable geoscientific field.

Experience

  • • Professional experience in IT network, Linux operating systems, and programming is desirable

  • German citizenship required for civil servant status. Commitment to the free democratic basic order of the German Basic Law. Agreement to participate in a medical examination. For civil servant appointment, generally must not have completed 50th year of age at time of appointment. Foreign educational qualifications require proof of recognition in Germany. Foreign language application documents require certified German translation.
