Job Summary

The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper (CVUA-RRW), an official public sector laboratory for consumer health protection, is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join their "General Basic Analytics" department. In this role, you will primarily support the team lead in the "Basic Analytics I" team, focusing on the quality assurance of analytical results, procedures, and equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve validating and introducing new examination methods for food samples, creating quality management documents, and contributing to the training of professionals in consumer health protection. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly qualified and motivated team with modern equipment, contributing to essential public health services. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemical engineering, strong German language skills, and experience in quality management within a laboratory setting.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or FH-Diplom in Chemical Engineering

Experience

  • Professional experience in quality assurance of analytical results, procedures, and equipment
  • Professional experience in validating and introducing new examination methods
  • Professional experience in creating quality management documents (test methods, SOPs)
  • At least one year of experience in quality management (working under DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) (desirable)
  • Experience in physicochemical food analytics (desirable)
  • Experience with Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS) (desirable)
