Job Summary
This role involves leading IT security certification processes for products, processes, and services across Germany and Europe. The officer will be responsible for developing evaluation methodologies and testing systems, particularly focusing on BSI's digitalization initiatives in 5G/6G. Collaboration with national and international certification bodies and standardization organizations is key to shaping the international standards landscape. Additionally, the role includes conducting expert assessments for the accreditation of expert bodies and representing the work area at conferences and through publications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Germany's digital security within a dynamic federal cybersecurity agency.
Required Skills
Education
University Diploma (Uni)/Master's degree in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications, Communication or Electrical Engineering, IT Management, Administrative or Business Informatics, or a comparable relevant field with an IT/technical focus.
Experience
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas: IT security certification/conformity assessment, IT security architectures, information and communication technologies (especially 5G/6G), or cloud technologies
- Ideally, experience in IT project management or procurement
- Ideally, experience in software testing and test automation
- Ideally, experience in auditing IT processes or IT systems
- Experience working effectively in geographically distributed teams or a desire to do so

Additional
- Willingness to participate in further training and undertake regular business trips (including multi-day trips), taking into account work-life balance. Consent to an extended security clearance check according to § 9 SÜG is required. For foreign educational qualifications, proof of equivalence with a German degree from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is necessary. Location: Freital, Germany.
