Job Summary
This role involves developing future-proof electrification systems for off-highway vehicles, commercial vehicles, and special machinery. Key responsibilities include designing control cabinets (PDUs) and wiring harnesses for both low and high voltage applications. The Electrical Design Engineer will support system conceptualization, specification creation, risk assessments, and FMEAs. They will also manage component selection and integration, ensuring compliance with standards and coordinating with suppliers. The position requires creating documentation, device layouts, and transferring production-relevant data to the ERP system. Additionally, the engineer will oversee prototype construction, transition to series production, and provide ongoing maintenance and development for existing products. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in electrical engineering or mechatronics to contribute to innovative vehicle electrification.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, ideally further training as a Technician or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering or mechatronics
- Experience with electrification systems for off-highway, commercial, or special machinery is beneficial
- Experience in supporting system conceptualization and risk assessments
- Experience in component selection and integration under compliance with standards
- Experience in creating technical documentation and managing production-relevant data
