This role is for a dedicated System Administrator to join the University Computing Center at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, focusing on IT service administration and service management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing 1st and 2nd level IT support, handling everything from hardware procurement and repair to comprehensive software management, including selection, installation, maintenance, and license administration. Key responsibilities also include managing printers and print servers, overseeing authorization management, and maintaining PC pools and teaching labs. Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Application Development)

Experience

  • Professional experience with hardware and software support in end-customer business
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems (for E9b grouping)
  • Foundational knowledge of directory services (especially Active Directory in conjunction with MECM) (for E9b grouping)
  • Foundational knowledge of PowerShell and SQL (for E9b grouping)
  • Professional experience in a university environment (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in project management (advantageous)
