PhD Student (Biology, Molecular/Experimental Medicine, Biochemistry) | PhD Student (m/w/d)
Universitätsklinikum Münster
Job Summary
This PhD position offers a unique opportunity to join a research team at the Clinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, focusing on the intricate role of gut microbiota-derived metabolites in cellular signaling, particularly concerning aortic pathologies and endothelial integrity. The successful candidate will investigate how these metabolites influence endothelial barrier function and neutrophil transmigration, aiming to uncover novel molecular pathways in vascular inflammation and remodeling. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing human aortic tissue, performing in vitro experiments with primary human aortic endothelial cells, and utilizing advanced molecular biology techniques. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a Master's degree in a relevant scientific field, a strong interest in vascular biology, and a collaborative spirit, offering excellent career development opportunities and access to cutting-edge technologies.
