Job Summary
This PhD student position at the European Institute for Molecular Imaging focuses on developing innovative imaging methodologies to track immune cell function during inflammatory processes. The role involves creating novel techniques for tracking radio-labelled cells using combined PET and MRI, alongside developing algorithms, software, and hardware-based simulations for both pre-clinical and clinical applications. The successful candidate will design, conduct, and analyze experimental PET/MRI measurements, contribute to a DFG Clinical Research Centre, and present findings at conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in physics, computer science, or biomedical imaging, eager to engage in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research within a structured graduate program.

Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Biomedical Imaging, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience with programming (Python, C++, Matlab)
