Job Summary

As a Patent Engineer, you will join the growing Patent Department at ZEISS SMT, a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your role is crucial in maintaining ZEISS's position among the top German companies for patent applications, contributing to the development of smaller, more powerful microchips. Day-to-day, you will support the IP Support team, patent attorneys, and inventors with operational tasks, including researching and analyzing patent and technological developments for freedom-to-operate and competitive analyses. You will also define and maintain monitoring profiles for patent publications, configure and manage research databases, and classify invention disclosures.
