Job Summary

The University of Bonn is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for a 12-month, full-time position at the Clausius Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry. This role focuses on experimental surface science, specifically investigating the properties of large semiconducting organic molecules adsorbed on surfaces. The successful candidate will primarily utilize scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) to gain microscopic insights into surface-molecule and intermolecular interactions. The project, embedded in the DFG-funded research training group "Templated Organic Electronics (TIDE)", involves close collaboration with synthetic chemists and physicists, contributing to both fundamental and applied science, such as the development of organic semiconductor devices. The position also entails a teaching load of approximately four hours per week during lecture periods.
