Job Summary

As a Production Expert in Downstream Processing (DSP) at Teva, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the supply of biopharmaceutical products for patients. Working within a new, innovative biopharmaceutical production facility (Genesis-Project) in Ulm, you will be responsible for executing production activities in buffer preparation, protein purification, and filling, ensuring all documentation adheres to GMP standards. You will collaborate closely with the transfer team to adapt new manufacturing processes for large-scale production under GMP conditions. Leveraging your process and plant knowledge, you will provide technical guidance to the production team, engage with colleagues, shift leaders, and management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to actively shape processes and workflows within a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical/Pharmaceutical Engineering, Brewing, or a comparable field; alternatively, a completed vocational training as a BTA, CTA, PTA, Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Assistant, Pharmaceutical/Chemical Technician, Environmental/Food Technician, Brewer, Maltster, or Dairy Specialist.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, bioengineering, chemical/pharmaceutical engineering, brewing, or a comparable field
  • Alternatively, several years of professional experience as a BTA, CTA, PTA, Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Assistant, Pharmaceutical/Chemical Technician, Environmental/Food Technician, Brewer, Maltster, or Dairy Specialist
  • Strong knowledge of process and plant technology
  • Practical experience in the purification of biopharmaceutical active ingredients, ideally in a large-scale, biopharmaceutical, multi-product facility
