Job Summary
This role is for a Chemist to join a leading European aerospace company, focusing on maintaining stringent purity standards for high-resolution earth observation satellites. The successful candidate will lead the chemical analytics laboratory, operating and maintaining standard equipment like FTIR spectroscopy and optical microscopy. Key responsibilities include reviewing system purity requirements, conducting measurement tasks, developing and refining measurement procedures, and leading small R&D projects within the lab. The position demands a highly precise, structured, and responsible approach to tasks, along with strong communication and teamwork skills, ensuring the integrity of highly sensitive aerospace components from production through rocket integration.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Technical Chemistry, or comparable qualification (e.g., Chemical-Technical Assistant, Chemical-Technical Laboratory Assistant)
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience working independently in an analytical laboratory
- Expertise in chemical analytics
- Experience in preparing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting measurement data
