Job Summary
Helmholtz Munich, in collaboration with the University of Leipzig, is seeking a Scientific Officer to join the Institute Management team at the Helmholtz Institute for Metabolism, Obesity and Vascular Research (HI-MAG) in Leipzig. This part-time role (25-30 hours/week) involves supporting the Institute Manager and Director by preparing scientific reports, assisting with grant applications, and contributing to public relations and science communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in life sciences or medicine, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research on obesity and related diseases, translating innovative findings from the lab to practical applications, all within a flexible and supportive work environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Medicine, or similar fields, ideally with a PhD
Experience
- Experience in creating scientific reports and texts for various requirements, including graphical context
- Professional experience in a university or non-university research institution (desirable)
- Knowledge of the German scientific system (desirable)

- This position is initially limited to 2 years, with the possibility of a long-term perspective. Located in Leipzig, Germany. Part-time (25-30 hours/week).
