Job Summary
As a GIS Specialist, you will be crucial in ensuring the accurate documentation of electricity and gas network operations for a regional utility provider. Your daily tasks will involve capturing and maintaining network data within the G/Technology – G/Net GIS system, verifying measurement documents, and updating existing plans for supply areas. You will also be responsible for creating and updating circuit diagrams for medium voltage, low voltage, and street lighting networks, ensuring precise representation of electrical connections. This role requires a keen eye for quality assurance, strong IT skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues and handle correspondence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of future-oriented energy networks and solutions within a supportive team environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Geomatician, Construction Draftsperson, Technical Draftsperson, Surveying Technician, or a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Geography, Geoinformatics)
Experience
- Professional experience in documenting lines/pipeline networks and systems in energy networks (ideally)
- Ability to quickly grasp concepts, recognize relationships, and draw correct conclusions
