Job Summary

Join SensID GmbH as a Scientist in Product and Process Development, contributing to precision medicine by developing and optimizing reference materials for molecular diagnostics. In this role, you will lead development projects for new products and enhance existing lines, independently organizing and coordinating projects from experimental design to final reports. You will oversee laboratory staff, conduct advanced molecular biology and cell-based assays, and ensure all work adheres to DIN EN ISO 13485 standards. This position is ideal for a life sciences professional with a strong background in molecular biology, cell culture, and NGS/PCR, offering a chance to work in a dynamic team and contribute to improving diagnostic system safety.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in life sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Molecular Genetics, or related disciplines), ideally with a PhD or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in research & development of molecular biology or cell biology products, ideally in IVD/medical device or biotechnology
  • Several years of hands-on experience in NGS and/or PCR, preferably in a clinical context/molecular pathology
  • Proven experience in planning and execution of development projects
  • Proven experience in supervising and coordinating technical staff
  • Proven experience in preparing and evaluating experimental plans
  • Proven experience in statistical data analysis and documentation of results
  • Desirable: Experience in preparing funding applications
  • Desirable: Experience working in a standards-regulated environment (ISO 9001, 13485, 17025, GMP, GLP)
  • Desirable: Experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory
