Job Summary

Join SensID GmbH, a leader in molecular diagnostic reference materials, as a Research Associate in Product and Process Development. In this full-time role based in Rostock, you will be instrumental in driving the development and enhancement of new and existing products. Your day-to-day will involve planning, executing, and evaluating R&D projects, coordinating activities, and providing technical guidance to personnel. You'll work with molecular biological and cell-based assays, perform laboratory tasks including cell culture and NGS analyses, and ensure documentation adheres to ISO 13485 standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to precision medicine and work within a highly motivated team, making a tangible impact on diagnostic system safety.

Required Skills

Education

Natural science degree (e.g., Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Molecular Genetics or related fields), ideally a PhD or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in research and development of molecular biological or cell biological products
  • Experience in the IVD/medical device or biotechnology sector is ideal
  • Several years of application experience in NGS and/or PCR, preferably in a clinical context/molecular pathology, is desirable
  • Practical experience with cell culture techniques and molecular biological methods
  • Experience in planning and conducting development projects
  • Experience in guiding and coordinating technical personnel
  • Experience in creating and evaluating experimental plans
  • Experience in statistical data analysis and results documentation
  • Experience in applying for grant funding is desirable
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9001, 13485, 17025, GMP, GLP) is desirable
  • Experience in an S2/BSL-2 laboratory is desirable
