Job Summary

As a Planning Manager for Control and Safety Technology, you will be instrumental in modernizing and digitizing Germany's rail network. You'll lead the planning efforts for large-scale projects, focusing on the renewal of control and safety systems for Deutsche Bahn. Your role involves independently calculating costs for all planning disciplines during the bidding phase, acting as a key consultant to clients, and bridging the gap between planning and implementation phases according to HOAI. You will lead and oversee internal and external planning teams, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance. This position also entails acting as a quality inspector and authorized construction submitter, coordinating with operators and experts, and facilitating approvals for construction measures with the Federal Railway Authority. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital rail infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor) in Control and Safety Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field with an electrical engineering focus; "Fachplaner LST" (Specialist Planner CST) certificate from Deutsche Bahn AG

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience as a PT1 specialist planner, quality inspector, or authorized construction submitter (BVB)
  • Expert knowledge in control and safety technology in rail transport
  • Familiarity with relevant Deutsche Bahn AG guidelines
  • Expertise in processing and managing planning projects for rail infrastructure
  • Practical experience in technically leading teams
