Job Summary

As a (Senior) Project Manager in Environmental and Species Protection, you will be instrumental in planning, steering, and monitoring projects focused on species protection and environmental planning, from initial data collection to the implementation of protective measures. Your daily tasks will involve conducting faunistic mapping of relevant species (avifauna, bats, fish, amphibians, insects) and digitalizing vegetation and biotope data. You will prepare species protection reports, Natura 2000 preliminary and compatibility assessments, and monitor species and vegetation protection measures. This role requires close coordination and negotiation with authorities and clients, providing expert advice, and supporting tender processes. You will also be responsible for project planning, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met, including contract and change order management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable infrastructure projects for future generations within one of Germany's largest engineering firms.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biology, Zoology, or a comparable field. Certification as an environmental construction supervisor is desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in species protection within approval procedures for infrastructure projects

  • Professional experience in preparing species protection reports and environmental assessments
