Job Summary

The Deutsche Bahn (DB InfraGO AG) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the team preparing and executing the general refurbishment of the Mannheim – Karlsruhe railway line. This role is critical for implementing DB's new strategy of bundling construction works to completely renew infrastructure (tracks, signals, stations) within short, concentrated closures, ensuring the line is modernized for future digital operations. Day-to-day, the engineer will coordinate construction measures, lead planning offices and site supervision teams, and act as the DB InfraGO AG representative on site. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with DB regulations and public permits, managing technical commissioning, and actively participating in procurement and logistics management. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering and possesses several years of experience managing complex construction projects, ideally with an interest in developing Lean Management principles on site. This is a crucial, permanent role contributing directly to Germany's future rail infrastructure.
