Job Summary

This role is for a Controller to join the Finance Department of a large municipal employer in the Oberhavel district. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and refining reporting routines for internal budget control and resource management, conducting key figure analyses, and monitoring costs through variance analysis. A significant part of the role involves performing fee calculations for cost-accounting entities and administrative fees, as well as providing training to colleagues on cost and performance accounting. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the ecological, economic, and social development of the district, working in a supportive environment with flexible hours and mobile working options. Ideal for someone with a background in business administration or public administration, possessing strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration, or a comparable degree; alternatively, a qualification as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungs-Fachwirt) or Administrative Business Economist (Verwaltungs-Betriebswirt VWA); or a completed three-year commercial-administrative vocational training with several years of relevant professional experience. Candidates six months prior to achieving one of the mentioned degrees are also considered.
