Job Summary

This PhD position at TUD Dresden University of Technology, within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center "AgiMo", focuses on developing and implementing advanced traffic flow models and simulations. The successful candidate will work on subproject B7, focusing on new methods for multimodal microscopic simulation of street users' behavior, especially in shared space contexts. Day-to-day tasks involve generalizing the existing "Intelligent Agent Model" (IAM) to IAM2d, simulating and visualizing it in a Python environment, and calibrating/validating the model using naturalistic and experimental data. This role offers the opportunity to obtain a PhD, contribute to cutting-edge research in responsible mobility, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team across multiple universities and the German Aerospace Centre.
