Job Summary

This doctoral position at Philipps University Marburg offers a unique opportunity for a Research Associate to contribute to cutting-edge pharmacological research. The role focuses on developing, cloning, and validating optical G-protein biosensors for use in live cells, and investigating G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR)-dependent signaling. Day-to-day tasks involve planning, conducting, and analyzing pharmacological experiments using new optical biosensors in microtiter formats. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in biological, biochemical, life science, or pharmaceutical studies, with practical experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques for plasmid DNA cloning, and fluorescence/bioluminescence-based methods. This position is attractive for aspiring scientists seeking to pursue a PhD in pharmacology within a supportive academic environment, offering professional development opportunities and a focus on work-life balance.
