Job Summary
Join the 'Proteomics and Cancer Cell Signaling' junior research group at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg as a Technical Assistant. You will actively contribute to a specific research project focused on unraveling mechanisms of drug resistance in cancers like leukemia and osteosarcoma, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Day-to-day tasks involve performing cell biological experiments (S1/S2 area), molecular biological work, and protein biochemistry. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced techniques such as CRISPR technology, drug screening, and mass spectrometry. The position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a background in biology, eager to develop a research project within a team, and contribute to meaningful cancer research.
Required Skills
Education
BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), Biology Laboratory Technician, or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Experience in complex cell cultures (highly advantageous)
- Research experience with animal and/or human stem cell lines (advantageous)
- Experience in cell biological, molecular biological, and protein biochemical methods (advantageous)
- Professional experience in a research laboratory (entry-level candidates welcome)
Languages
Additional
- Initial contract duration of 2 years (with possibility of extension); Compliance with Infection Protection Act (IfSG) requiring proof of measles immunity; Work permit for Germany if applicable.
