Job Summary
Join a dynamic team as an IT Operator, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of data centers for the German federal administration. Day-to-day, you will monitor central IT applications, servers, databases, and networks using specialized monitoring tools, meticulously documenting any disruptions in a ticket system and escalating them to relevant support units. Your responsibilities also include assisting with access controls and effectively communicating with colleagues during incidents. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training with relevant IT focus, or equivalent qualifications
Experience
- Professional experience in IT, ideally in a data center environment
- 3 years of equivalent skills and experience in a relevant professional field (if no formal IT vocational training)
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty; Willingness to work in a rotating shift system (early, late, and night shifts); Consent to an extended security check according to the Security Clearance Act; Must be eligible for public service employment in Germany.
