Research Associate (Physics/Electrical Engineering) | Physiker (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden
Job Summary
Join the Technical University of Dresden as a Research Associate to contribute to a cutting-edge Reinhart Koselleck project focused on information processing with optical neural networks. This role involves investigating the physical transmission behavior of multimode fibers using novel diffractive multiplexers and Deep Learning, with the goal of achieving real-time, energy-efficient channel multiplexing. You will engage in experimental lab work and simulations, characterize optical fiber transmission properties, and realize diffractive optical elements for various multiplexing techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for scientific qualification, typically leading to a doctorate, within an interdisciplinary team recognized for its innovative research in a modern laboratory setting. The position offers significant scope for personal contribution and publication in high-impact journals.
