Job Summary
This PhD position offers a talented scientist the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research within the International PhD Programme (IPP) Mainz, focusing on "Molecular Biomedicine & Ageing." The successful candidate will join the research group of Johannes Mayer to investigate the immune cell interactome in type 2 immunity, a critical area for understanding allergic diseases and parasitic infections. The project involves developing and utilizing advanced tools to study physically interacting cells in in vitro explants, in vivo models, and patient samples, aiming to map key events leading to different qualities of type 2 immunity and identify potential therapeutic targets. This role is ideal for an ambitious scientist eager to push research boundaries in an interdisciplinary and international environment, contributing to significant advancements in immunology.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant life science field
Experience
- Strong background in immunology
- Previous experience with complex phenotyping of immune cells
- Experience with wet-lab techniques
- Experience with dry-lab techniques
