Biologist (PhD Candidate) | Biologe (m/w/d)
Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH
Job Summary
This PhD position offers talented scientists the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in 'Molecular Biomedicine & Ageing' within the International PhD Programme (IPP) Mainz. The successful candidate will join Dr. Johannes Mayer's research group to investigate the immunology and functionality of Type 3 Dendritic cells in the skin. This project involves utilizing advanced single-cell profiling tools, including single-cell RNAseq, high-dimensional flow cytometry, and transgenic mouse models, to characterize the unique biology and location of these cells. The research aims to elucidate their functional role in skin immunity and homeostasis, and evaluate their therapeutic potential in dermatological diseases. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious scientist to contribute to interdisciplinary research in an international environment, pushing the boundaries of immunology and developing targeted therapeutic strategies.
