Job Summary
This Technical Assistant role at the Heidelberg Center for Organismal Studies (COS) involves supporting the Evolutionary Neurobiology department, focusing on the nervous system evolution and development in invertebrates like marine annelids and cnidarians. The successful candidate will perform extensive microscopic, molecular biological, and protein biochemical work, requiring prior experience with animal cultures and relevant lab methods. Key responsibilities also include laboratory organization, general lab duties, and preparing molecular biological practicals for Bachelor's and Master's students. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Biology Laboratory Technician (Biologielaborant*in) or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences (e.g., Biosciences, Biomedical Sciences).

- This is a full-time (39.5 hours/week) temporary position, covering parental leave from December 1, 2025, until August 9, 2026. All activities must be performed on-site.
