Job Summary

The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a full-time Research Associate to join its University Hospital and Polyclinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatics. This role involves developing system biology analysis methods for multimodal data integration, conducting network-based research on neurodegenerative diseases and stress resilience, and implementing user-friendly bioinformatics software. The successful candidate will also coordinate interdisciplinary projects, supervise junior researchers and theses, and develop and deliver specialized teaching content. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma in Applied Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics, System Biology, or a comparable field; PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Bioinformatics, System Biology, Computational Biology, or related disciplines with a focus on Multi-Omics data integration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary research collaborations
  • Practical supervision of junior researchers
  • Experience in scientific communication and method dissemination
  • Teaching experience is desirable
