Job Summary

Join Siemens Mobility as a Commissioning Engineer to play a crucial role in national and international rail technology projects, including next-generation battery and hydrogen-powered trains. You will independently perform commissioning, preventive, and corrective maintenance on rail vehicle components and systems, as well as handle electrical and mechanical modifications and subsequent re-commissioning. This role involves supporting fault analysis and troubleshooting using innovative IT systems. You will receive comprehensive training and development to become an expert in the future-oriented rail industry. Your work will primarily take place at railway depots globally, partner workshops, or the Wildenrath test center, offering diverse opportunities for personal and career growth within Siemens Mobility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering or certified technician (state-certified) in electrical engineering/mechatronics

Experience

  • Extensive relevant experience in the electrical engineering field, following vocational training
  • Professional experience in rail vehicle components and systems
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical modifications

Languages

Additional

  • Willingness to travel for several months and work shifts at various locations globally; Class B driving license required.
