Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure projects within one of Germany's largest engineering firms. You will be instrumental in modernizing and maintaining the rail network, focusing on the Frankfurt Airport electronic interlocking system. Day-to-day, you'll manage project content, technically guide all project phases, particularly in control and safety technology, telecommunications, and electrical power systems. Key responsibilities include supporting approval procedures, managing tenders and contracts, overseeing costs and schedules, and ensuring quality assurance and project documentation. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Railway Construction, Railway Operations, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in project management
  • Experience in railway construction
  • Ideally, experience in complex interlocking construction projects
  • Initial knowledge of project service phases according to HOAI
  • Knowledge of contract and pricing law (HOAI, VOB, VOL, BGB)
  • Experience with project management and documentation software (e.g., MS Project, iTWO, Doxis)
  • Experience in agile project management
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary environment
