This role involves architecting and administering communication services and Linux servers within the central IT department of a leading technical university. The successful candidate will manage a diverse server infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure operation of both on-premise and cloud-based services. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed relevant degree with an IT focus (e.g., Bachelor of Science, preferably Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, or similar) or comparable knowledge

Experience

  • Professional experience in administering a large number of Linux servers in commercial or academic environments
  • Practical experience with E-mail transport protocols (SMTP, IMAP) and Open-Source Mailserver Software
  • Practical experience in analyzing and troubleshooting protocol interfaces
  • Solid practical experience with scripting languages, especially Python
  • Practical experience with version control systems and configuration management systems
