Research Associate / Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d) - Interferometric 3D Process Monitoring in Laser Welding | Elektroingenieur (m/w/d)

Job Summary
This role at the Technical University of Dresden involves developing and validating a holographic 2-wavelength interferometer for in-situ 3D analysis of keyholes during laser welding. The successful candidate will conduct experimental test series using high-speed measurement technology, develop and implement real-time signal processing with AI-supported feature extraction, and demonstrate applicability through 3D in-situ measurements with research and industry partners. This position offers the opportunity for scientific qualification, typically a doctorate, within an interdisciplinary research environment focused on laser material processing, utilizing advanced laser and camera technology and AI-based signal processing.
Required Skills

Master's or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with excellent academic results
