Job Summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in establishing, testing, and implementing automated laboratory methods, primarily focusing on liquid handlers and complex integrated lab automation lines for iNeST Upstream processes. Your daily tasks will involve creating and optimizing automation scripts, supporting the installation of new automation lines, validating computer systems, and defining interfaces to software like LIMS. You will also be responsible for operating and qualifying automation systems, transferring methods into regulated environments (GCP for labs), and managing multiple automation projects within Genomics. This role is ideal for a professional with a scientific background and a keen interest in transferring manual lab processes to automated solutions, offering a chance to significantly impact clinical and commercial applications.

Required Skills

Education

Scientific degree (Master, PhD) in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, or a comparable field

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in handling and optimizing automated large-scale lab instruments, especially complex liquid handling platforms
  • Experience in the creation and implementation of automated pipetting methods
  • Experience in GxP (GCP, GCP for labs, GMP or CLIA) environment and qualification/validation processes
  • Professional experience in NGS and performing molecular biological work (DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, enzymatic RNA synthesis) preferred
