This role involves contributing to an innovative research project focused on improving bat species detection methods using drone-based thermal imaging and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing research studies, collecting and analyzing thermal imagery and bioacoustic signals, and documenting findings through publications and presentations. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diplom (University) or Master's) in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Data Science, or a comparable field. Foreign educational qualifications require proof of equivalence with a German degree.

Experience

  • Experience in data analysis, ideally with sensor data
  • Experience in preparing scientific publications

Additional

  • This is a part-time (75%), fixed-term position until December 2027. Requires the ability to work in Bernburg, Germany. Employment is subject to the collective agreement for the public service of the states (TV-L).
