This role involves leading and developing the Cloud Operations Hub, a central unit responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining secure, high-performing, and future-proof cloud environments for the German Armed Forces and federal government. The successful candidate will manage distributed agile teams, ensuring the achievement of operational SLAs, fostering a strong team culture through coaching and mentoring, and acting as a key interface with service management and product owners. This position is ideal for an experienced IT leader passionate about technology, capable of driving cultural change, and committed to contributing to Germany's security through advanced cloud solutions. It offers the opportunity to shape the technical foundations for digital sovereignty, automation, and resilience within complex IT landscapes.
Required Skills
Education
University degree with a focus on IT or comparable qualification
Experience
- At least 7 years of professional experience in complex corporate and customer structures
- Long-term experience in Cloud Enterprise environments
- Long-term experience in disciplinary leadership of self-organizing teams
- Demonstrable leadership competence in agile structures
- Experience with cultural change processes or building Greenfield teams
