Job Summary
This role involves the crucial task of characterizing radioactive waste for a company specializing in the decommissioning of nuclear facilities and the disposal of residual materials. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for describing non-radioactive pollutant components in low and medium-level radioactive waste, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Konrad repository. This includes planning and coordinating chemical analyses, developing substance vectors for the Konrad substance list, and creating operational documents for conditioning processes. You will collaborate with various departments, authorities, and experts, leading technical discussions and optimizing existing processes, while also developing new quality and solution concepts in material characterization. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, Environmental Chemistry, Material Sciences, or a comparable scientific-technical field
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical characterization of materials
- Experience in managing interactions with experts and authorities
- Knowledge of repository procedures and water law (ideally)
