Job Summary
This role is for an Instrumentation and Control Technician to join a dynamic team in Marschacht near Hamburg, at an international family-owned chemical company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, calibration, and repair of instrumentation, control, and regulation (ICR) systems, process control technology, and testing equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions in ICR and process control systems, supporting system hardware for process control systems, PLCs, and fire alarm systems, and continuously monitoring and optimizing control loops for efficiency and safety. The role also involves assisting with the commissioning of new plants, documenting technical information, collaborating with various departments, and potentially leading sub-projects in energy, automation, and ICR technology. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Technician, Electrician, or Mechatronics Engineer with significant experience in ICR, preferably within the chemical industry, and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Technician, Electrician, or Mechatronics Engineer, ideally with a focus on ICR technology
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in Measurement, Control, and Regulation (ICR) technology, preferably in the chemical industry
- Professional experience in fault analysis, maintenance, and repair of process control systems, ideally PCS 7
