Job Summary
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and creation of circuit diagrams for electrical equipment used in the automation of production plants, primarily utilizing EPLAN P8. Your daily tasks will involve developing detailed control cabinet and plant designs, ensuring efficient and standard-compliant implementation. You will also project and implement regulated drive systems with safety functionality (Siemens), take responsibility for the electrical aspects of risk assessments using SAFEXPERT, and evaluate safety-related components with SISTEMA. This role requires selecting and specifying hardware components, creating bills of materials, and optimizing existing systems. Collaboration with electrical assembly teams, internal departments, and external partners is key, as is supporting commissioning and technical coordination. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, or certified state-examined Electrical Technician, or comparable professional experience.
Experience
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in electrical plant design
- Routine handling of EPLAN P8 and complex circuit and control systems
- Profound knowledge in the project planning and design of control and drive technology modules
- Familiarity with applicable norms and guidelines for safety technology, especially the Machinery Directive
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly at the interface between mechanics, electronics, and software
