Job Summary

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is seeking a Strategic Planning Officer to join their Strategy and External Relations Department in Bonn or Berlin. This part-time role (19.5 hours/week), fixed-term until December 31, 2026, involves crucial responsibilities in program and strategy development. Day-to-day, you will conduct strategic portfolio analyses, lead exploratory discussions with stakeholders, prepare and execute third-party funding acquisition, and contribute to the foundation's overall strategic planning by drafting position papers. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree, relevant professional experience in areas like foundation work or international science management, and proven expertise in budget, personnel, and project management. Experience

  • Professional experience in research or relevant fields such as foundation work, international science management, or public administration

  • Professional experience and knowledge in project management required, ideally also in agile project management
  • Knowledge in the management of funding programs desired
